5 Months Old

Well needless to say we are still playing catch-up but the months have flown by since Naomi was born.  It's interesting to think that each month of pregnancy seemed to pass slowly (until that last trimester), but now that she is here, the time is just flying by.  We have been so blessed to have Naomi in our lives and are loving every minute of it.  At five months old, Naomi is really starting to pack on the personality.  Her five month birthday was on October 20, 2011.

What Naomi has been up to this month:

You weighed 14lbs 2oz and are still 26 inches long.

You are wearing 6 month clothing and a size 2 diaper. A lot of people say you are small for your age, but we think you have grown like a weed.  It's amazing to think you have doubled your birth weight in a few short months.

You are constantly cooing, giggling, and laughing all the time.  But you can also turn the drama on when things aren't going quite your way.  If you are unhappy on your tummy, you will bury your little face into the carpet and cry for dramatic effect.  It definitely pulls our heart strings, but we catch ourselves laughing at your cuteness.

You are still sleeping through the night (Praise the Lord!) and nursing exclusively.

You are hopefully about to pop two teeth through.  This teething process has not been Mommy's favorite, but you are handling it pretty well.  You just chew, chew, chew!  You like chewing on hard rubber toys and ice in a washcloth to help relieve the pain.  But your absolute favorite chewie is your Razberry.

Your newest trick is popping your own paci back in your mouth.  You will take it out and put it back in all by yourself.

Your hair is starting to grow back thicker but mostly straight down the middle so it is very fluffy and stands straight up like a mini mohawk.  :)

You love to dance and sing songs with Dad and Mom loves to blow strawberries on your tummy.  We do all we can to hear you giggle!  You do this cute new sound where you squeal and gasp at the same time.

You had your first cold and snored every night.  Bless your little heart.

You love to have bubbles blown during bathtime and sometimes you will reach up for them as they float down. 

You are trying out the Jumperoo but only will stay in it for about 10 minutes.  You like to look at the toys but you stand with stilt legs... no jumping yet.

We love to give Naomi "sandwich kisses"... not too sure what she thinks of them though!!

Naomi, you just bring so much joy and love to our house.  We thank God for you every day.  Happy 5 months my lovie!
