3 Months Old

Naomi celebrated turning three months old on our vacation.  She has changed so much, not to mention quickly, in these first three months.  Our little sleeping newborn is now our sweet, inquisitive baby.  She is very active and talkative these days.  We are enjoying watching her grow and experience things for the first time.

What Naomi has been doing this month:

You wore size 3 months clothing and size 2 diapers.

You weighed 12 lbs. 6 oz. and measured 24 inches long.  You are 2 feet tall!

You still nurse exclusively and have no problem taking a bottle from anyone.

You moved into your crib and sleep in your room now.  Mommy was a little sad at first, but the transition was seamless and we are all sleeping soundly.

Your night sleep has stretched to a good 7 to 8 hours.  Most of the time you are down for the night by 10 p.m. and don't get up to feed until 5 to 6 a.m.  Some night's you have even slept all the way until 7 a.m.  After you eat, you go right back down until 9 a.m.

You started wiggling out of your swaddle so we stopped and you don't seem to mind in the least.

You found your feet and can't get enough of them.

Bath time remains a favorite.  We moved into the real bath tub in your bathroom.  Daddy blows bubbles with you and introduced you to Rubber Ducky.  You have started kicking the water with your feet.

Your eyes are still blue as can be.  Still wondering if they will stay?  You get lots of compliments on your pretty eyes.

We took our first family vacation to the beach and you loved it!  You did so well with all the change and being on the go.  You liked seeing new places and you had no trouble riding in your carseat which was a welcome surprise.  You even slept the whole way home without waking up once until we pulled into the garage.

You are laughing!  It is so much fun to hear and we try very hard to get your tickle spots often.  You squeal with delight when we blow strawberries on your tummy.  :)

You went to the nursery for the first time at Rock Harbor and you seemed to really like it.  Grammie Pammie was working in there that week and she said you just sat contently in your swing watching the other kids.  Aliyah is in your class too so you will always have a buddy.  Mommy cried, but she really was happy for you.
